Copywriting skills on trial

So finally I am one of the cool people out in here as a lot of people convinced me to be a ‘blogger’ in this new world of web full of spiders like us. I am sure all you people out there might have started your first blog like that, so that means I aint a special one out here. Neither am I a copywriter of any grade/level. Just a simple white washed brown guy tryin’a chase his dreams and set of goals out here in the land of Americas.

Being in New York is just a different experience in itself. Weather you’re here for school, job, internship or just to bang one of your new f*ck buddie whom you met last month on the so called ‘web’. The latter doesn’t apply to me for sure but it would be nice. Not being in one of the ‘nice’ situations doesn’t really affect me as learning stuff out here in Lowe NY is quite a ride. Whoever that wise guy was to say that learning never ends sure was a genius. If every quarter is going to be an ‘eye’ opener for me like this one, I am sure to never be happy with my portfolio and that would be a very positive thing as I do believe in ‘never be satisfied by your book ever’. Apart from the tricky and fun world of advertising, photography is another thing I need to bust my arse on. Hell lotta awesome photographers with either those black lens with a red stripe on them or the huge white modaf*kin’ lens bigger than their own brains.

Traveling from Manhattan to Long Island every week aint too bad of a ride specially when you get your whole week’s home cooked spicy Indian food prepared and frozen in batches by your aunt. One of the things that’s keeping me close to home is my mom-like aunt who looks out for me every time, calling me once a day and as a matter of fact loving me more than my mom for a change! Not that my mom didn’t love me enough but it’s all good :D

Finally I’ll end my first write up by letting y’all know what NY is like. It’s crazy but it’s so plain at the same time. It’s amazing but it sucks at the same time. It’s hot but it’s buak at the same time. The weird guy sitting next to you in the subway train..the hot chick sitting right across you in her mini skirt and wearing clothes as if she’s the first person to get struck by the recession. Homeless people looking in your eyes with hate, 2 people sitting on the walkway trying to calm down his drug-struck friend. One of the most amazing musicians you’ll see in your life playing on the road side for some pennies while this world keeps on moving without a hint of care. And why would they care..right?
